Golfing
Golfing is a long-time favorite activity of park visitors. This park features a nine-hole golf course built by the Works Progress Administration and the Civilian Conservation Corps over 80 years ago.
- Electric carts: Nine holes – $11; 18 holes – $16
- Golf club pull-carts are available for use on a first come basis
- Golf clubs – $7 (not currently available due to COVID)
Fishing
One of the best things about Lockhart State Park is that it’s the perfect place for children and beginners to learn to fish. You do not need a fishing license to fish here in Clear Fork Creek. Drop a line in the water for sunfish, bass, and catfish.
Swimming
This park has a huge public pool that the kids will love swimming in. Showers are available and you can rest confident that the pool promises hours and hours of fun for the entire family. Be sure to call ahead prior to anticipating a swim as the opening date is dependent upon COVID conditions.
Camping
There are several campsites available at Lockhart State Park. You can choose from sites with water and electricity or sites with full hookups.
